Rosemont Community Center

City of Orlando

Project Overview

Rhodes+Brito Architects were honored to be selected by the City of Orlando to design this new 16,000-square-foot community center. Located in the Rosemont Community Park. The facility features a large community room with an adjacent food service and storage area, an arts and crafts room, game room, computer lab, teen room, state-of-the-art fitness center, men and women’s locker rooms, swimming pool, pool house, administrative offices and support spaces.

As the security of the recreation center’s patrons was important to both the City and Rhodes+Brito team, a number of safety measures were carefully considered and incorporated into the design of the complex. These include developing open sitelines and the strategic placement of windows throughout, and around the facility.
