Local 6 WKMG Television Studios Lobby Renovation

Rhodes+Brito Architects provided design services to remodel/renovate the lobby and first floor of the Local 6 Television Studio in Orlando, FL. This scope of work was to create a new refreshing look. The owner wanted a more secure reception desk/lobby. We provided new finishes, remodeled restrooms, offices to get more daylighting,and created presentation space for “commercial” previews. The critical consideration in design was that the studio had to remain operational. The design reflects the desire of the Studio to reflect a more contemporary look and feel. The remodeled space utilizes glass “walls” to allow daylight to penetrate the perimeter offices into the main studio.
