Flagler County Nexus Center

Flagler County, FL

Project Overview

Located in sunny Bunnell, FL, the 23,000 GSF Flagler County Nexus Center brings together a variety of functions under one roof, including a joint-use Public Library, Community Center, and Government Office facility. Designed as a hub for learning, connection, and civic engagement, the Nexus Center is set to become a cornerstone for the community.

Highlights of the project include:

– A Community Center with a pre-function lobby and public restrooms.
– A library experience that goes far beyond books, featuring an adult collection, children’s and teen spaces, an innovation lab, podcast booth, and administrative areas.
– An architectural design that embraces modern Florida Vernacular, with porch-like patios, metal roofing, and aluminum canopy trellises that reflect the state’s diverse history.

Interior design elements inspired by the Palm Coast’s coastal culture, incorporating curved storefronts, vibrant colors, and suspended acoustical trellises to create a welcoming and modern space.
Before construction began, Rhodes+Brito provided Master Planning Services, Programming, and Cost Estimation to set a strong foundation for the project.
